Best Western Plus Embassy Hotel - Athens

Just a decent option for a brief visit in Athens with very nice value for money. They let me check in early, a nice surprise. If you don't mind some noise during the day, it's a solid choice.

Simple check-in, late check-out...

Everything was very good, great service, magnificent location next to bakeries as well as Close to Megaron. The staff were very helpful and helped us with private parking. The room we had was good sized and functional with a nice terrace and seperate bedrooms plus old bath.

Didn't like the staff, some of them were very unpleasant.

The location near cultural sites makes exploring easy.

I found the breakfast to be quite lacking with limited choices and some items appearing stale. I encountered a significant issue with the air conditioning in my room, ineffective and left me feeling uncomfortable.

This hotel was really nice and clean. As it was overbooked, I was upgraded to a junior suite, which was really a very nice surprise. Rooms were enough big, bed was comfortable and big. This hotel situates in a small quiet side-street, still a bus stop is not far away and the connection with the city center was good. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Compared to 4star hotels in Central-Europe the breakfest could be better. Still everything was fresh and delicious. They don't offer any porridges and I was suprised that there was no fresh juices. But these are my personal preferences.

Exellent staff, gourmet breakfast, nice location and safe ( next door to the US Embassy). Very near transport facilities and shops.

Room was small for the price we paid and the shower was broken and needed to be repaired, we complained about it but nothing was done. Everytime we had a shower water and foam would flood the toilet floor, all they did was clean it.

The location near the U.S. Embassy is fantastic for exploring Athens. My room was spacious and clean. The air conditioning worked well and kept the room cool. The breakfast offerings were limited, with not much variety, and the dining area felt cramped during peak hours. Despite these drawbacks, the helpful staff was nice.

I had booked another hotel but the area it was in was not to my liking so I used the Internet and made a booking for the next 3 nights at this hotel. I am so glad that I did. From the moment I arrived, I was given courtesy and attention. The location is safe and quiet. Any question that I had was answered and I was told about places that might not be safe. So, I would have to say that the staff was the best. The next thing was that the bed was comfortable after sleeping on what seemed like boxes with sheets for the 2 weeks in Italy and other parts of Greece. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Finding the hotel initially was difficult.

Best thing about the hotel was the knowledge of the staff about the city... We heards a few things about Athens as a bit unsafe for the tourists... So we requested the receoptionalist about the various places to visit and which ones to avoid. They gave us a proper instructions as where to go at what time and what places are to be avoided totally. In the end, due to various circumstances we ended up at the unrecommended places and found that the things mentioned by them were absolutely right.

Just a couple of comments: The address which we received in the mail was not recognized by taxi drivers. Maybe they can mention the name of the nearest square for easy identification. This is a minor one... the air conditioner did not had a control, so it was operating at the preset temperature.

Wonderful place to unwind in a restful place and enjoy nearby tasty dining options.

Quiet, clear and comfortable hotel. Bus stop, subway and shops nearby. Good quality breakfast. Highly commend.

Very nice and friendly staff, clean rooms, central location near the metro very reasonably priced.

It was so good with amazing service and a comfortable environment. We felt welcomed .

the bathroom needed some attention.

Away from a busy road, warm rooms, big bathrooms.

No change of the linens for three days. Very dirty floor of the bathroom. Not clean enough rabbish baskets.very poor breakfast area and buffet. Every morning the same things, not professional equipment for the food.

The room was big and comfortable and although close enough to a big avenue with lots of traffic (especially during a subway strike), there wasn't much noise at night.

The staff at the front desk barely smiled (only one person was nice, out of the 4 I saw at the front desk) and were rude in English. When I checked out, they tried to charge me again for my room (I had a prepaid reservation) and I had to get upset with the front desk staff so that they wouldn't double-charge me for my room!!!!! Although the facilities are okay and the location is great, I will never stay at this hotel again because of what happened at check out.
